01 Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Voryn Intelligence ("Voryn", "we", "us" or "our") handles personal information collected through this website, vorynintelligence.com, and in the course of responding to enquiries and arranging demonstrations of our SaaS platform, Voryn Systems.

We are committed to protecting personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy does not cover the handling of data that agencies process within a deployed Voryn environment, which is governed by the agreement and data-handling arrangements between Voryn and the relevant agency.

Voryn Intelligence is an Australian provider of AI-native intelligence software for law enforcement and government agencies. Our registered details are:

03 Information we collect

We collect only the personal information reasonably necessary for our functions and activities. Through this website that typically includes:

  • Identity & contact details you provide via our demo request or enquiry forms — such as your full name, role or title, agency or organisation, and official email address.
  • The content of your enquiry — any information you choose to include in the message field.
  • Technical and usage data — such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected automatically when you interact with the site.

We ask that you do not submit sensitive, classified, operational or law-enforcement information through this website. The demo and enquiry forms are intended only to initiate contact.

04 How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you when you complete a form, email us, or otherwise communicate with us. Technical data is collected automatically through standard web server logs and analytics tools. Where it is reasonable and practicable to do so, we collect personal information directly from the individual concerned.

05 Why we collect and use it

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and arrange demonstrations or briefings;
  • assess and progress procurement or evaluation discussions;
  • communicate with you about our platform, where you have asked us to or where permitted by law;
  • operate, secure, maintain and improve this website; and
  • comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

We will only use your information for the purpose for which it was provided, a directly related purpose you would reasonably expect, or as otherwise permitted or required by law. We do not sell personal information.

06 Disclosure of information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • our personnel who need it to respond to your enquiry;
  • trusted service providers who support our operations (for example, hosting, email and customer-relationship tools) under confidentiality obligations;
  • professional advisers, where reasonably required; and
  • law enforcement, regulators or others where required or authorised by law.

We require our service providers to handle personal information consistently with this policy and the APPs.

07 Storage & data sovereignty

Consistent with our sovereign-first approach, we seek to store personal information collected through this website within Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure our hosting and service arrangements maintain Australian data residency. Where any storage or processing outside Australia is contemplated, it is addressed in section 10 below.

08 Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These measures include encryption in transit, access controls and logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will destroy or de-identify personal information when it is no longer needed for any purpose for which it may be used or disclosed, unless we are required to retain it by law.

These cookies are necessary to protect the site and keep it functioning; we do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not sell or share information collected through cookies. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, though some features may not function as intended.

10 Overseas disclosure

We aim to keep personal information in Australia. Our website is protected by Cloudflare, whose global security network may process limited technical data (such as IP addresses) outside Australia in the course of protecting the site. Where any provider stores or processes data overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. We do not otherwise disclose personal information overseas.

11 Access & correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, consistent with APP 12 and APP 13. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity. There is no charge for making a request, though a reasonable charge may apply for providing access in some circumstances.

12 Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first so we can investigate and respond, ordinarily within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992.

13 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this website, with the "last updated" date shown above. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
